The city of Scottsdale and Skate True present the annual Wedge competition:

So this contest is part of the reason I’m getting the newsletter out so late this month, but it is happening and it is going to be a quality contest this year I assure you!  Skate True will be the title sponsor for this event so it will mean a lot to have as many of you there participating and supporting this event!  I will be responsible for the judges this year and will be having some close friends of mine who are veteran skateboarders and know their stuff be assisting with the judging.  I will be announcing this contest again, so that portion is guaranteed to be fun alone!  Sidewalk Surfer will be assisting and sponsoring the prizes so it will be an awesome event.  The age divisions as it stands will be: 9 and under, 10 to 12, 13 to 16, 17 and up and a womens division.  The flyer has not been made yet for this event as of this moment, so I have used this screen shot so you can see this is an official event on the city of Scottsdale’s website.

Skate True is coming to the westside of the valley:

Our first official pick up and drop off spot in the west valley will be begin operations on Sunday February 19th at 91 West skatepark!  We’re super stoked to be teaming up with 91 West on this endeavor and are hoping for a fruitful skate season before the summer with the regulars over there!

Our second annual Woodward trip is happening week 1: June 4th through June 10th 2017

We are already registering sign ups for the Skate True ride to camp Woodward this year and we’ve already almost filled up a 15 passenger!  Don’t hesitate sign up now!  Last years experience was an incredible unforgettable week full of skating and new friends, and this year is sure to be even better.  Just so there is no confusion the fee is $300 IN ADDITION to camp Woodwards cost.  This is still considerably cheaper than a flight out there, and your camper will not have to deal with the bus they usually have to take from the airport to the camp.  This is a direct ride from the greater Phoenix area to camp Woodward in Tehachapi California!  On the way back we will again be stopping through Los Angeles, doing a little street skating at the legendary Nike SB courthouse, they have purchased and revitalized, and Westchester park!  Contact me asap to reserve your spot if you have not already!
